MAM Software for Mr. Clutch
Explained Mr. Clutch Financial Director Trevor Steel: “Changes in ownership patterns and the new rules arising out of the EU block exemptions have presented us with new business opportunities. As a result, we decided to extend our offer beyond clutch and transmission services. All our centres now offer MOTs and are geared to attracting regular, repeat business from customers. We chose Autopart v20 because of its support for this revised business model and MAM’s capability to service our expanding branch network.”
The new software means that the branches can manage all their business needs from a single application. Front desk staff can check parts stock, determine bay availability, make a diary booking or complete a cash sale. Service history for all vehicles is easily assessed, which is a benefit when a customer returns or when creating targeted promotional marketing.
The entire Mr. Clutch branch network is connected via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to the head office in Strood. Each branch hosts a local database that is constantly updated by regular polling from head office. Sales data is communicated back to head office and product information is downloaded to the branches. This ensures that every branch maintains the latest pricing structure and that head office can assess group performance. It also provides the capability to service fleet business and centrally administer national accounts.
