Goodyear Partners with Tredit

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co has partnered with Tredit Tire & Wheel Company, Inc to provide tyre and wheel assemblies to original equipment trailer manufacturers. Tredit is a leading supplier of wheel and tyre and wheel packages for trailers used in the recreational vehicle, cargo, horse/livestock, boat and utility segments.

Rather than Goodyear supplying its popular Marathon line of trailer tyres to original equipment trailer manufacturers, the company will provide the tyres to Tredit, which will distribute and supply mounted tyre-and-wheel assemblies to OE customers. Goodyear has a longstanding supply relationship with Tredit, and the new agreement positions Tredit as the national distributor of Goodyear Marathon trailer tyres to OE customers.

“For Goodyear, the benefit is an opportunity to increase sales of our top Marathon line, and to achieve more OE fitments on recreational and utility trailers,” said Mike Parnell, Goodyear’s vice president, OE tyres.
