Advan Sport Approved for Porche 911 Carrera
The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced that its Advan Sport (V103S) tyre has been approved as original equipment tyres for the new 911 Carrera 4 by Porsche AG. The V103s is the latest addition to Yokohama’s ADVAN Sport flagship series.
Yokohama will supply the tyres in 235/40ZR18 (91Y) for the front and 295/35ZR18 (99Y) for the rear. The new 911 Carrera 4 will be the eighth Porsche model since 1989 to run with factory-fitted Yokohama high-performance tyres.
In response to the announcement, Yokohama said it “is proud to have met the high technical standards in the process of development with the Porsche AG. It is a supreme honour for every tire manufacturer to gain the ‘N-0’ marking on the tyre sidewall indicating Porsche’s approval.” In October last year, Bentley Motors also adopted the Advan Sport (V103) as a 20-inch tyre for its Continental GT and Flying Spur.
According to Yokohama, the Advan brand symbolises the company’s global concept, something that means its is also committed to aggressive execution of all its activities, including co-development of flagship tyre products, participation in motorsport and collaboration with the world’s leading automakers and tuners.
