South African Businesses to Use Ringtread System
(Southern Africa/SA Treads) It’s official. Speculation surrounding the possible arrival of Marangoni Ringtread in South Africa (SA) was put to rest earlier this month, with the announcement that Leader Tread had secured the agency for this concept and that the first Ringtread machine would reach SA in the Spring.
To complement Ringtread’s innovative, splice-free retread, Leader Tread will also be bringing in a Marangoni ITT Cubo 2500 inspection machine, voted one of the best of its kind in the world.
Based on shearography technology, the ITT Cubo 2500 boasts bead to bead inspection while turning the tyre, on-line inspection, graphic elaboration of the test outputs supported by computer, high resolution of test output and automatic loading and unloading system.
Moreover, the machine has been designed to allow the identification of belt and tread separations before the buffing process commences and also makes provision for a final inspection on completion of the retreading process.
“This is an added benefit which will further enhance the marketability and desirability of a premium product such as the Ringtread,” said Brett Sproson of Leader Tread.
“The Ringtread is a premium product and is ideally suited to very sophisticated operations boasting a high level of vehicle and tyre maintenance,” added Mark Sproson. “Three are a number of such sophisticated transport companies in South Africa that would serve as ideal candidates for this product, which has made an indelible mark for itself, the world over,” continued Sproson.
The Marangoni Retreading System will also present some unique opportunities for the local trade to not only differentiate themselves from their competition, but to augment their margins.
