Hankook and Hamann Forge Agreement

Hankook Tire Co has signed alliance agreement with German tuning company, Hamann Motorsport, company officials have reported. Under the deal, Hankook Tire will cooperate with Hamann Motorsport in promoting their brand recognition and carrying out joint promotional activities, the Asia Pulse agency has reported.

The agreement calls for conducting joint promotional activities until 2008, such as putting a “Technological Partner” logo in promotional fliers and on display cars. The two companies will also push to jointly develop an ultra-high-performance tyre to be installed on high-performance tuned cars from Ferrari and Porsche in the future.

The companies have put up a joint exhibition at the two-week-long Frankfurt Motor Show that started on Monday. Hankook Tire is displaying its Ventus S1 evo tyres on BMW and Lamborghini models tuned by its new German partner.

Through the alliance, Hankook Tire expects to boost its presence in strategic markets, including the Americas, Asia and Europe, Hankook Tire officials said.
