EnTire Solutions Launches for 2006 Hyundai/Kia Models
EnTire Solutions, the joint venture between Michelin and TRW Automotive, says it will increase its direct tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) presence in North America for the new 2006 Hyundai Tucson and the 2006 Kia Sportage.
“Vehicle manufacturers selling their products in the US are gearing up to meet the soon-to-be implemented US TREAD Act requirements. EnTire Solutions, with its driver-oriented, direct tyre pressure monitoring system, is pleased to partner with Hyundai/Kia in offering drivers the peace of mind, savings and mobility of a direct tire pressure monitoring system,” said Rich Wolfe, CEO of EnTire Solutions, LLC.
EnTire Solutions’ direct TPMS employs a battery-powered pressure sensor mounted on the valve stem inside the wheel. The sensor communicates tyre pressure and temperature information to a vehicle-mounted receiver via a radio signal. Two versions of the system exist: a basic and an enhanced system. EnTire Solutions launched its first TPM system as standard equipment on the 2004 Acura MDX and currently supplies several US, European, and Asian manufacturers with direct TPM systems.
