Brityrex International Moves to Manchester for 2007
ECI International, organisers of the Brityrex International exhibition, have announced that the 2007 event will be held from 1 to 3 May at the G-Mex Convention Centre, Manchester.
Paul Farrant, ECI’s managing director, revealed that there were a number of reasons for the move. “We wanted to expand the floor space available in 2007 based on the success and re-bookings taken at the 2005 show and Harrogate were unable to give us the third hall we needed to grow the show.”
Farrant explained, “G-MEX is a superb venue, easy to get to and there are many hotels and restaurants within walking distance. Another advantage is that Brityrex International 2007 will have all the exhibitors in one hall which offers 10,500 square metres of exhibition space.”
In another major move, it was announced that the 2007 event is to be sponsored by the National Tyre Distributors Association. “I was impressed by the way the NTDA wholeheartedly supported the 2005 show,” said Paul Farrant, “and the 2007 sponsorship is the logical result.”
For the NTDA, National Chairman John Tarbox said “The return of Brityrex as the UK’s only dedicated tyre industry event was welcomed by the trade and we look forward to working with ECI to build on the success of Harrogate.
“We are delighted that the association is sponsoring Brityrex International 2007 and we are already considering some major initiatives, with the organsiers, to make Manchester the focal point for the UK Tyre Industry in May 2007”.
Brityrex 2007 will follow in footsteps of the successful 2005 event and is the UK’s only independent trade event covering every aspect of the tyre industry.
