Bridgestone Training Team Receives Boost
Bridgestone has appointed Paul Turner to the role of technical training manager in the UK, replacing Steve Howat who has taken up a similar role at Bridgestone Europe. Paul Turner has more than 21 years’ experience in the tyre industry, and has worked for Bridgestone UK for more than a decade in a variety of roles ranging from sales office supervisor to technical engineer, where he ran the company’s RFT (run-flat technology) dealership certifying courses.
More recently, Mr Turner’s experience of running management training courses for Bridgestone personnel has led him to his new position of technical training manager, which he sees as a fresh challenge. He said: “It is my aim to develop and deliver more training courses to internal staff, First Stop dealers, and general retailers. We have an immediate advantage over our competitors in that all our training courses are certified by the Institute of the Motor Industry, and we have the capability to create bespoke courses to suit almost any tyre-related training requirement”, he said.
