Successful Start For Goodyear TyreOnlineService
Goodyear Dunlop has reported that a recent direct marketing campaign is succeeded in increasing tyre purchases through the company’s TyreOnlineService system.
TyreOnlineService was launched as a pilot scheme in the UK in May 2004, but became available of wider scale this year. The service provides customers with an online solution to purchasing their Goodyear, Dunlop, Fulda and Sava tyres. Since the launch its popularity has risen with many customers now reliant on the system to place their orders on a day-to-day basis, says Goodyear Dunlop.
As well as placing orders online, the customer can examine any orders they have placed as well as view outstanding invoices, back orders and previous orders. The Fast Order Entry system is in ‘real time’, which enables users to enter an order into the system in minimal time as well as view their up to date account status.
“Our direct marketing campaign was focused on showing customers the benefits of TyreOnlineService and how time efficient the ordering of tyres can be when set up on the system,” said Ben Crawley, support manager – trade marketing. “There has been a significant jump in online sales with a 53 per cent increase in June on May sales and we are continuing to develop and market the site through specific online promotions on our brands and products.”
