New Tyre Production Machinery Manufacturer Harburg-Freudenberger

Some weeks ago, ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG sold its Harburg-Freudenberger GmbH mechanical engineering business to Luebeck, Germany-based L Possehl & Co mbH. Under new ownership, the company will produce machinery for the rubber and tyre industries.

In 2003/2004 Harburg-Freudenberger’s 1050 employees helped the company generate a turnover of 150 million euros. The manufacturer’s two German factories (Hamburg-Harburg and Freudenberg) provide the basis for the company name. In addition Harburg-Freudenberger has factories in Belisce, Croatia and Topeka, Kansas (US) and sales offices in Akron, Ohio (US) and La Courneuve, Paris.

The new parent company, L Possehl & Co, is itself an international business with 4700 employees and a turnover of around 850 million euros.
