Maha Receives ATL Equipment Approval
Maha UK has reported that it is the first company to achieve class IV and VII GEA and VOSA approval for test equipment for Automatic Test Lanes (ATLs). The introduction of Automatic Test Lanes, (ATL) and one-man operation is due to be introduced by VOSA in September 2005.
Maha’s approved test equipment includes: Play detectors fitted to a MAHA lift; Head Lamp Beam Tester for the new gas discharge and clear lens lights; a weighing system; and a brake pedal depressor system.
The brake tester is said to require a new software programme before automatic testing and one man operation for MOT can start.
Gus Gregory, managing director of MAHA UK said: “I am very pleased we have approval for the ATL and that MAHA is a front runner. We are now ready to install the equipment.”
