Kwik-Fit Fleet Expands Service Centre and Adds Staff
Kwik-Fit Fleet has announced a major redevelopment and expansion of its Fleet Service Centre. The latest developments include taking on 10 new service centre operators, on top of the 30 recruited 12 months ago, and relocating the service centre to a newly-refurbished dedicated area within Kwik-Fit Financial Services’ call centre at Tannochside.
The company has also invested £250,000 in new computer technology, office furniture and a staff “chill out” zone, plus it has introduced a concierge service that undertakes tasks for Service Centre staff, such as arranging dry cleaning or shopping.
Kwik-Fit Fleet sales director Mike Wise explained the need for the changes, saying: “Demand for the raft of services provided through our Fleet Service Centre has continued to escalate and we anticipate continued expansion as a number of new contracts are in the pipeline.”
This was echoed by operations manager Dave Thorpe, who revealed that the Service Centre handles around 3,000 calls daily. He said: “Almost all of the Centre’s work is based around providing a range of services that have been outs outsourced by many of Britain’s largest contract hire and leasing companies.
“The decision to outsource is based on the continuous efficiency savings they can make, coupled with the ability to offer an industry-leading service to their customers through Kwik-Fit Fleet. It is therefore vital that we continue to invest and improve the service we provide to meet the expectation of contract hire and leasing companies and end-user fleets.”
Kwik-Fit Fleet now has more than 850,000 cars and vans on its tyre management programme on behalf of 42 companies, including Motability, Europe’s largest fleet.
