AWS Wins Environmental Award
Automotive Waste Solutions, a market leader in the field of automotive waste collection and disposal, has picked up the prestigious Motor Trader Environment Award.
The Motor Trader awards have been held for 15 years and this year there were 19 winners, chosen from more than 60 shortlisted companies and individuals. They were presented at a ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, attended by over 1,000 leading industry figures.
The Environment Award was sponsored by Standox, whose MD Neil Marcus presented the trophy to AWS Commercial Director Graham Gibson. The panel of industry judges selected AWS “because of its innovative and holistic approach to the management of automotive waste through a total waste management programme.” AWS also provides customers with an internet-based management information system, enabling them to track waste levels being produced and collected, including the ability to demonstrate full legal compliance.
Speaking after the ceremony, Graham Gibson said: “This award means a great deal to myself and my team and is the culmination of many years of hard work in developing and delivering a total waste management programme that is both unique within the automotive industry and is cost-effective.”
AWS and its sister company Waste Tyre Solutions (WTS) are part of the Credential Environmental Group.
