Arnco Opens New Plant Near Cleveland
(Akron/Tire Review) South Gate, California-based Arnco, a supplier of polyurethane flatproofing products for off-road vehicles, opened its new processing plant in Berea, Ohio, last week. The company said the new 112,000-square-foot facility will “significantly expand its production capacity and help meet the growing demand worldwide for products that eliminate flats and reduce costly downtime for equipment operators.”
The new production facility, said Mr Carapellotti, has 16 times the capacity of the company’s current 40-year-old plant in Cleveland, which is being closed.
According to Arnco director of operations Joe Negrey, the new plant has tank off-loading capabilities, several loading docks, a 33-foot high ceiling, and “plenty of room for expansion beyond what we will install for our immediate needs.” Negrey added that Arnco expects to double its work force at the new facility. Cleveland Plant Manager Mark D’Amore has been named plant manager in Berea.
Arnco also has manufacturing facilities in Manchester, England, and a sales and technical centre in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
