£2,000 Battery Management Centre Free with Hella Battery Plan
Trade stockists are being offered a £2,000 incentive to participate in Hella’s 2005 Battery Plan, with qualifying orders receiving a Midtronics GR1 Battery Management Centre and printer completely free of charge. The offer is part of an aggressive campaign which also includes a package of extended credit terms, merchandise and display materials, price stability, rebates for high-achieving distributors and an extended and rationalised product offer.
“The Midtronics GR1 is one of the most sophisticated pieces of equipment for testing, charging and managing battery stocks and is a superb trade incentive to launch this year’s Battery Plan,” said Alastair Crawshaw, electronics product manager at Hella.
The Battery Plan promotion runs from July through to the end of November and all initial orders of £12,000 and above will receive the free Midtronics GR1. Orders above £8,000 will be offered a 50 per cent contribution towards the cost of the equipment, while orders above the minimum entry value of £6,000 will receive a discount against the unit.
Further incentives include an extra 60 days to standard credit terms on initial orders, a price freeze to the end of November for batteries delivered during the promotional period and a range of eye-catching merchandising materials including display stands, wall signage, catalogues and posters.
Distributors purchasing more than £20,000 worth of batteries during the campaign will receive a two per cent rebate.
“We’re confident that this package will be a winner with the trade as the incentives are relevant, practical and geared towards increasing business for stockists. We’ve also reviewed the product ranges to make sure they offer maximum and up to date market coverage with sensible stocking levels,” explained Hella’s Alastair Crawshaw.
Evidence of this is provided by the addition of 11 new products across the company’s ranges of premium, standard and CV batteries. At the same time, part number consolidation means that the Ultra Power premium range now offers vehicle parc coverage of over 85 per cent with just eight part numbers. The Power CV range, which has 24 part numbers, covers more than 98 per cent of the market.
