Kargro Buys a Second CM Tyre Shredder

Columbus McKinnon is proud to announce the sale of a second CM Single Speed Tyre Shredder into the European marketplace. The machine has been purchased by Lintire, a division of The Kargro Group, which is located in Montfoort, Holland.

Kargro is a truck tyre retreader and casings dealer known through out the world for high quality products. This is the second Single Speed Tyre Shredder that CM has supplied to Kargro and it will be installed alongside the first in Lintire’s processing facility in Montfoort.

The CM Single Speed Tyre Shredder has been designed especially for processing passenger car tyres. CM opted to stay with the same basic design as their workhorse, the Standard CM Tyre Shredder that has been in production since 1982, but with several changes to the drive system. The main motor, speed reducer and two speed main gear box have been replaced with a shaft mounted gearbox and flange mounted main motor.
The single speed machine was designed at the request of several CM customers that wanted to shred passenger car tyres only, yet maintain the durability of a full size CM tyre shredder.
