Federal Introduces FZ-101 Limited Edition Slick

Federal Tire has expanded its Federal Motorsport line with the introduction of the FZ-101, the first slick tyre in the FZ Combat Series. Exclusively produced in limited numbers for professional use only. Engineers at Federal are reported to have collaborated closely with Japanese racing professionals to deliver a tyre best suited to their needs.

The FZ-101 is reported to have exceptional grip for track and road racing – using FTC’s latest FZ compound to provide the most “stick”. Combined with a wide contact area and reinforced sidewalls, the FZ-101 is said to be engineered for “nothing but performance, speed, and exceptional cornering in dry or damp conditions.” In addition “durable nylon cap plies give high speed durability and resistance to centrifugal forces,” the company reports.

“Although exclusively produced only in limited quantities, the launch and development of the flagship FZ-101 shows our commitment and dedication to the motorsports market as Federal Motorsports expands the entire line-up this year,” states Henry Lin, chief sales officer of Federal Tire.
