Nizhnekamskshina Sales and Production Up, Profits Down

Nizhnekamskshina, one of Russia’s largest tyre manufacturers, has published first quarter 2005 figures. Although, sales were up by 1.3 per cent to $91 million year-on-year, the company reported a net loss of $3.1 million against the $3.8 million net profit it recorded in the same period last year. Car tyre output rose by 0.2 per cent to 2,547,400 units, but fell by 2.4 per cent in value terms to $86.6 million.
