Lin Rejoins Federal as Sales and Marketing VP
(Akron/Tire Review) Federal Tire Co. has appointed Henry Lin as vice president of sales and marketing. Mr Lin had previously worked for Federal before leaving and then formally rejoining the company in March.
Since he first joined Federal in 1979, Mr Lin has held several positions in domestic sales, planning, internal control, wholesale office, and has also been a warehouse manager. Most recently, Lin served as vice president of domestic sales at Federal’s JFT plant in Jiang Xi, China.
“Presently, we have a very strong, young and aggressive sales team,” said Henry Lin. “However, as a whole, what they lack is experience in the global tyre industry. I will fill in the hole. Each sales executive will be required to visit his/her market more frequently to increase market awareness and to rekindle relationships with old customers and to build relations with new ones. Customer service will be a priority going forward.
“As before, we will continue to attend SEMA, Reifen International (Essen), and Tire Expo in Singapore to increase our exposure and keep up with the latest in the industry,” he said. “To become a major global player, we will continuously develop new sizes and patterns to fulfill all customers’ demands. I also plan to increase our UHP sales volume to up to 40 per cent of total sales.”
