Further Appointments at Stapletons
National tyre wholesaler, Stapletons has made strategic supply chain appointments. Ian Kirkpatrick will move from his role as national logistics manager becoming head of supply chain as part of the company’s ambitions to work even closer with UK and worldwide tyre manufacturers.
Reporting to chief operating officer, Alan Denton, Ian’s overall goal will be to develop closer relationships with manufacturers in order to provide a better service to consumers. The company wants to further enhance the completeness of orders throughout the supply chain and maintain its excellent logistics offer.
Headquartered in Hertfordshire, Stapletons employs some 780 people working across its wholesale, dealership and retail businesses. The firm has 51 thriving retail outlets as well as seven UK-wide distribution centres.
Speaking of his move, Mr Kirkpatrick said: “Stapletons has an important job to do in the coming months and years as we gear up to take the business to the next stage in its development. Supply chain management will be an integral part of this business growth, as it is in all modern demand-led businesses and will require strategic management.”
John Jaram will report to Mr Kirkpatrick and will focus on inbound logistics in his new role as supply chain manager. In addition to these new roles, Stapletons has also recently appointed an Interim retail general anager, Keith Pringle.
