Beru Sales Increase 9 per cent
Preliminary full year figures show that Beru AG increased total sales revenues by 9 per cent in the year ended 31 March 2005. Meanwhile the company conceded that sales of tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) failed to meet expectations. Beru’s 9 per cent sales figure fell just short of the company’s growth target for the 2004/2005 year. Beru had aimed to achieve 10 per cent growth during the course of the year.
Despite the fact that Beru’s TPMS sales were below expectations, the company remains optimistic that it will encounter strong growth for its Tire Safety System (TSS) in the US because of NHTSA’s recent ruling.
Sales revenues generated in the fourth quarter of 2004/2005 (1 January to 31 March, 2005) were at the same level as the prior year, apparently due to stagnating sales of automobiles.
