Watts Wins Two FLTA Awards
Watts Industrial Tyres has won two of the Fork Lift Truck Association’s (FLTA) Annual Awards for Excellence. Watts Industrial Tyres received the ‘Environment’ award, which recognises the progress Watts has made in the difficult field of ‘Solid’ tyre recycling. Watts now has a number of programmes in place that enable its tyres to be either ‘Remoulded’ or processed into ‘rubber mulch’ for equestrian and playground use and also into rubber crumb to be re-manufactured into a variety of rubber products.
“Watts Industrial Tyres is delighted and very honoured to have won this award in spite of some prestigious competition. We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and we are extremely proud to have received this award,” said managing director, Doug Pearson.
Phil Perry director of Watts Industrial Tyres received an award for ‘Services to the Fork Lift Truck Association’ presented by Richard Baxter, chairman of the FLTA (Hamech Mitsubishi). This award is bestowed at the discretion of the association and recognises an extraordinary contribution to the association. Phil Perry commented: “I have been on the board of directors for the last 8 years and have been delighted to have the opportunity to give support to initiatives that have helped to make the FLTA a high profile trade association, I was very surprised and proud to have been nominated for this award for both myself and in particular for Watts Industrial Tyres.”
