National’s Branch Manager of the Year
Congratulations to Chris Lee who, at the age of 23, is one of National Tyres and Autocentre’s youngest branch managers and who has been named as 2004 Branch Manager of the Year, winning a brand new car in the process. Chris Lee only joined National three and a half years ago as a fitter, but his managerial skills were quickly spotted and after two years he was promoted to manager.
During the past year, Mr Lee’s success has continued, achieving 174 per cent of his target in 2004 and being presented with the keys to a brand new Mazda MX-5.
He said: “As soon as I arrived at the Lancaster branch I could see how much potential it had, so when I became manager I already had a good idea of how I could achieve the targets set by senior management.
“I was delighted to be named Branch Manager of the Year and the Mazda MX-5 wasn’t too bad either. However, I do have my team – Mark Raes and Richard Duncroft – to thank for all their hard work and assistance over the past year.”
Robert Smith, divisional director for National Tyres and Autocentres, added: “Chris thoroughly deserved this award after all the hard work he has put in over the past year and we expect great things from him in the future.”
