Michelin Proposes Michel Rollier For Managing Partner Role
Michelin managing partners Edouard Michelin and René Zingraff will propose that Mr Michel Rollier takes up the position of managing partner, according to a company statement. The existing managing partners will formally make the proposal when the company has its annual general meeting on 20 May.
Michel Rolier is currently Michelin’s chief financial officer (CFO) and a member of the group executive council (CEG). According to the company, the proposal is designed to prepare for René Zingraff’s future retirement. “Throughout these past years, we have been working very closely with Mr. Michel Rollier. We value his competence, his human skills and his dedication to the overall interests of the company. We forged our conviction that he has all the qualities to contribute with us to the continued strength and efficiency of the company’s management,” the statement added.
Subject to shareholder approval, the decision will become effective from the day after the annual shareholders meeting. As a result of this Michel Rollier will be replaced by Jean-Dominique Senard on the CEG. Mr Senard will join Michelin on 15 March, becoming the group’s new CFO by the end of 2005. In addition to his new responsibilities, Michel Rollier will continue as CFO, during this transition period.
