Goodyear Names New Head of Chinese Operations

Goodyear has announced the appointment of John Tseng as chairman and president, Goodyear Greater China. Tseng previously served as corporate vice president and general manager digital and film imaging systems for Eastman Kodak’s North Asia operations.

“John’s leadership and experience were essential to achieving Kodak’s outstanding success in China,” said Pierre E Cohade, Goodyear’s president of the Asia-Pacific strategic business unit. “His deep understanding of the retail and wholesale structure of China and tremendous knowledge of the Chinese market will prove invaluable for Goodyear as we aggressively pursue additional market opportunities in China.”

At the same Mike Martens, previously managing director for Goodyear in China, has been named director of business development for Asia-Pacific responsible for regional business development. “These two appointments are significant steps in our overall future strategy for this region,” Mr Cohade concluded.
