Michelin’s Guide to Great Britain and Ireland
Michelin has published its latest guide, this time to Great Britain and Ireland. Out tomorrow this year’s guide sees the addition of two new symbols, one indicating a good wine list and the other relaxation and well being facilities.
ajor changes in the restaurant listings include a new ‘2 star’ entry and 17 new ‘1 star’ establishments, plus, 27 new ‘Bib Gourmand’ entries offering “good food at moderate prices.”
Newly introduced last year, the Bib Hotel award, for “good accommodation at moderate prices,” has increased its tally with the addition of 27 new addresses.
The guide includes 5445 establishments, from farmhouse B&Bs to luxury hotels, and from pubs to three star restaurants. “This makes it a must-have for anyone who regularly stays in hotels or enjoys eating-out; whatever their budget,” says the manufacturer.
