Dunlop’s ‘Black-Clad Hit Squad’
Dunlop is calling on UK drivers to look out for a mysterious calling card, placed on their windscreens by what the company calls its “black-clad hit squad.” The promotion will see the “hit squad” leave their calling cards on vehicles in town centres across the UK.
The company is warning motorist not to treat the tickets as junk mail suggesting that for once “motorists could be getting something for nothing.” The cards are rumoured to carry a special code from Dunlop Tyres, which the company says can be exchanged for rewards.
Commenting on the scheme Dunlop’s Geraldine McGovern said: “We have enlisted special hit squads to reward our most loyal customers. Companies traditionally spend a lot of time enticing new consumers and we wanted to turn this on its head. We believe our existing customers are ‘in the know’ when it comes to the quality of our products and we wanted to reward them for being discerning when it comes to choosing tyres.”
