Dunlop Gives Away free ‘Treadheads’
Just a few days after unveiling its new Direzza DZ101 tyre, Dunlop found a number of volunteers willing to sit in the “chair.” The barber’s chair, that is.
For the second consecutive year, Dunlop has been running its “Treadhead” promotion at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. In order to draw attention to the new tyre, Dunlop is offering special hair cuts in the style of its latest tread pattern. ”The Dunlop brand appeals to real driving enthusiasts,” said Andy Traicoff, Dunlop’s director of consumer marketing in North America. “This is a fun way for them to express that enthusiasm.”
Dunlop has been offering the “Treadhead” experience to any SEMA visitor willing to sit for the 90-minute styling session. In addition the company has been giving away t-shirts designating the brave volunteers as official treadheads and a set of Dunlop tyres of the driver’s choice.
