Goodyear Expands Availability of its ‘Unique’ Tyres

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has announced that it will expand availability of its Assurance tyre. The company will add three more sizes of the product, which features TripleTred Technology.

According to Goodyear, the tyre is “one of the most popular tyre introductions in the 106-year history of the company.” Introduced this spring, the company reports that the TripleTred and its sister tyre, the Assurance featuring ComforTred Technology, have already tripled sales predictions.

Goodyear attributes the success of its products to their unique features, including three tread zones, volcanic ash and glass fibres in the TripleTred, and an extra layer of cushion in the ComforTred.

Bob Toth, Goodyear’s marketing manager for passenger car tyres, said that the three new sizes were P225/50R16, P185/70R14 and P205/55R16. The additional sizes are designed to fit vehicles like the Oldsmobile Alero, Pontiac Grand Am, Chrysler Sebring, Mitsubishi Galant, and Nissan Altima. “These new sizes are our commitment to Goodyear retailers and consumers. They have embraced the Assurance tyre line, and have asked us for more offerings, in order to enjoy the product benefits on more potential vehicles,” commented Mr Toth.
