Bridgestone Appoints New Regional Fleet Executive

Bridgestone has appointed Steve Savage as a new regional fleet executive. The appointment is designed to help the company and its Truck Point network win new business.

Mr Savage’s remit will cover the north of the country, including Scotland and will strengthen the six-strong team that reports to Duncan Platt, manager, fleet business, sales. “The existing team deals with national fleets, but Steve will be targeting fleets of between 100 and 500 trucks. We are committed to making the Truck Point network the best in Europe and Steve’s appointment will bring further support and expertise to Truck Point dealers,” said Mr Platt.

Prior to his recent appointment, Mr Savage spent 14 years with ATS and seven years in various roles with Bridgestone before leaving in 1996. He went on to work for Pirelli for four years, and later joined Marangoni in Italy.
