BMTR Group Make New Board Appointments

Birmingham based tyre wholesaler and distributor BMTR Group has announced the appointment of Gary Hickman as director and general manager. Mr Hickman will be based at the group’s Perry Barr site.

Responding to news, joint managing director Peter Smith commented: “Gary has been general manager for several years and has helped us to expand our activities and increase retail and wholesale market share at all of our sites. He joins the board at just the right moment to mark the anniversary of our establishment by my Grandfather JJ ‘Jack’ Smith in 1919 and to take forward our plans for 2005 and onwards.” At the same time, finance director Terry Pauley has taken on the additional role of company secretary, at BMTR Finance Department in the city centre.

Now celebrating its 85th year in business, BMTR operates throughout the Midlands and is a founder member of Group Tyre UK.
