Paris Motor Show Set to be Biggest Yet
Organisers of the 2004 Mondial de l’automobile, or Paris Motor Show, are expecting this year’s exhibition to be the biggest yet. More than 1.4 million trade and consumer visitors are expected to attend the show. Important models on display this year will include the Renault Modus, Ford Focus, Mercedes A Class and Peugeot 407 SW. As French manufacturers, Peugeot and Citreon are expected to have crowded stands.
Although this year’s show, which will run from the 22 September to 10 October, is expected to be the busiest in Europe, there will not be as many new models on display as some have hoped for. Instead Volkswagen’s Passat at Geneva 2005 and the company’s Bora and Jetta will be shown at Detroit 2005. In addition, a selection of new hatchbacks, including the new Renault Clio, Fiat Punto and Peugeot 207, will not be on display in Paris.
