Michelin Adds Canadian Franchise

Canadian Treads has signed with Michelin Retread Technologies Inc (MRT), Michelin’s fifth MRT franchise in Canada. The new franchise is to begin operating as a Michelin pre-mould retread plant before the end of the year.

Recently MRT also added Raben Tire in Evansville Indiana, and Strouhal Tire, Inc, in Hungerford, Texas, to the company’s list of retread franchises. According to MRT officials, there are now more than 230 points of sale in North America for Michelin retreads. “The demand for MRT products in western Canada is high,” says Guy Pekle, president of MRT(Canada). “With this addition, we are better positioned to serve our customers´ needs.”
