Omitec Updates OmiScan

Omitec has expanded its OmiScan hand held diagnostic tool, to cover 29 manufacturers. The company’s new applications include additional coverage for Audi, MG Rover, Land Rover, SEAT, Vauxhall and VW, including EMS, Airbag and Chassis systems.

The software supporting the product also brings a number of new features; It allows ‘live data’ to be viewed graphically, and full session logs to be kept, when linked directly to CAPS diagnostic workshop manuals through a PC.

The new diagnostic equipment can also be integrated into OmiTechcenter, to work with a range of compatible tools, including labscopes, engine analysers and emissions.

A number of new harnesses have been added to the full kit to manage the expansion of coverage. The main tool and printer, along with EOBD cables, PC cables and power supplies are now stored in a purpose designed storage case. The range of manufacturer specific harnesses is also housed in a compact storage case.

Each harness is colour coded and has been shortened to 900mm to make selection and handling easier. In addition an extension cable is also supplied with the main tool.
