ECI International Updates Exhibition Statistics
In keeping with the current atmosphere of tyre industry trade events, exhibition organiser, ECI International, has released further statistics in response to both its Tyrexpo Asia and Brityrex International events.
Initial feedback from the fourth Tyrexpo Asia event, which took place in Singapore in February, has shown that the exhibition achieved impressive growth compared with the previous show in 2001.
In terms of exhibitor floor space, the show was 33 per cent bigger than the previous event, with more than 100 companies exhibiting. Attendance figures also experienced an increase reaching nearly 3,000 visitors, from 63 countries. This represents a growth rate of almost 60 per cent compared with the 2001 exhibition.
Paul Farrant, managing director of UK based ECI International, commented: “We are delighted with the progress we have made this year and are delighted that so many exhibitors have had a successful time at Tyrexpo Asia. We are particularly pleased at the success we have had in creating a well balanced exhibition, representing all parts of the tyre industry and reflecting the increasingly global nature of the tyre business.”
Tyrexpo Asia attracted support from many key regional tyre manufacturers, including Federal Corporation, Kenda Rubber, Gajah Tunggal and Mega Tires. A number of wholesalers and a significant representation of the retreading industry were also present. The organisers believe that this varied representation is, “proof that Tyrexpo Asia has achieved a widespread backing from all sectors of the tyre industry.”
As far as Brityrex International goes, the company endeavours to prove its commitment to satisfy what it terms, “a void in the UK marketplace for a successful, independent no frills tyre industry trade exhibition.”
The three-day event will move to its new location at Harrogate for next year’s show, which will focus on the topical areas of growth in the tyre market. The event organisers have implemented a comprehensive marketing programme, in order to target an international audience for the exhibition.
Exhibitors currently signed up for the show include: Beissbarth UK, Bond International, Bulldog Remoulds, Cam Systems, Dundee Tyres, Finspa Storage Handling, Grantech-Saturn Systems, Haweka, Inter-Sprint, Nordisk Daek Import, Safety Seal, Treadway Exports/Hercules Tire Company, Tyre Bay Supplies and Van Den ban Autobanden.
The variety of products and services represented by these companies bodes well for the success of the Brityrex International exhibition.
The fifth Tyrexpo Asia will take place at the Singapore Expo Centre, in September 2005. And organisers are pleased to announce that the show is already 60 per cent booked.
