Kevin Kramer Joins Alcoa as President, Alcoa Cast Auto Wheels
Alcoa (NYSE:AA) announced that effective immediately Kevin B. Kramer, 44, has joined the company as president of Alcoa Cast Auto Wheels. He is responsible for the development and growth of Alcoa’s cast auto wheel business worldwide. Alcoa currently produces cast aluminium auto wheels at plants in the U.S., Canada, Venezuela and Italy. Alcoa’s cast auto wheels are found on numerous automobiles and light trucks worldwide. Kramer will be located at the Alcoa Automotive, Aerospace and Commercial Transportation office in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Kevin brings a combination of extensive sales and marketing experience with strong customer focus and deep knowledge of the automotive industry to Alcoa, important qualities as we expand our global reach in sales and manufacturing in our automotive portfolio of businesses,” said Bill Christopher, executive vice president of Alcoa and Group President, Alcoa Aerospace, Automotive and Commercial Transportation.
Kevin Kramer comes to Alcoa after a 21-year career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he was most recently vice president Original Equipment Sales, North American Tires located in Akron, Ohio. In this role, he was responsible for Goodyear’s tire business with original equipment manufacturers in North America as well as global responsibility for Ford, GM and DaimlerChrysler.
During his career at Goodyear, which began in 1983, Kramer has held sales, marketing and business management positions with increasing responsibility. More recently, he held a series of marketing and management roles in the company’s North America tire business preceded by assignments in Goodyear’s Conveyor Belt and Engineered Products Divisions. Earlier, he served in a series of progressively significant sales and marketing assignments in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific region. He is a 1983 graduate of Ohio State University and holds a BS degree in Business and Marketing.
The Alcoa Automotive, Aerospace and Commercial Transportation group develops products and technological solutions for global transportation markets. The organization has six businesses that have plants and facilities worldwide serving global customers. The six businesses are: Alcoa Fujikura Ltd., Alcoa Fastening Systems, Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products, Cast Auto Wheels, Advanced Transportation Systems, and Howmet Castings.
