Kumho Donates $ 100,000 Worth of Tires to Iran
Kumho Tire Co., Inc. donated 3,290 units of tires equivalent to USD100,000 to Islamic Republic of Iran in humanitarian support in the aftermath of the catastrophic damage in terms of both human life and property following an earthquake.
On the morning on January 15, the president of Kumho Tire Sae-chul Oh submitted documentation of the donation to the Iranian ambassador to Korea, His Excellency Mozaffari, at the Iranian embassy. He said, “We express our deepest condolences to the Iranian people for this tragic disaster. We hope that they will be able to get back on the right track as soon as possible, leaving the nightmare behind.“
Tires mainly for passenger cars and tires for some jeeps are to be provided to Islamic Republic of Iran. They will be shipped from the Kwangyang Logistics Center to be delivered to Islamic Republic of Iran in February.
Kumho Tires said, “Kumho Tires has received great support from local partners and sales agencies in Islamic Republic of Iran and we decided to donate tires as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement to the Iranian people who have suffered great damages from the disaster. Kumho Tires retains the top position in the passenger car tire market in Islamic Republic of Iran, which is the second largest export market for Kumho in the Middle East region.
