Giant tyre production: Belshina receives new equipment

Belshina JSC has taken delivery of two hydraulic presses and six moulds for the manufacture of 57-inch and 63-inch all-steel radial OTR tyres. The Belarus-based tyre maker states that the presses represent an “important part” of the reequipment process it is currently undertaken.

The presses and moulds were purchased as part of a wider investment project to facilitate OTR tyre production at Belshina’s Babruysk plant. The large-diameter tyres will be supplied to domestic heavy-duty truck manufacturer Belaz as well as fitted on vehicles produced by global manufacturers such as Komatsu and Caterpillar.
