Toru Kobayashi chairman of ATG after Yokohama completes acquisition

On 1 July, Yokohama Rubber completed its acquisition of the Alliance Tire Group. The Japanese company’s new subsidiary is now headed by Toru Kobayashi, formerly assistant to Yokohama Rubber president Hikomitsu Noji, who has been appointed Alliance Tire Group chairman.

Alliance Tire Group will be included in Yokohama’s consolidated accounts from the third quarter of the 2016 fiscal year, which ends on 31 December 2016. Yokohama Rubber states that the expected impact on its full-year consolidated financial statements will be announced as soon as possible.
