Cicero Appointed New Denman Tire CEO

(Akron/Tire Review) Emanuele E (Manny) Cicero has been named president and CEO of Denman Tire Corp., effective 1 May, Denman Tire has announced. Cicero replaces Charles R.Wright, who is retiring.

Mr Cicero, a seasoned professional with more than 27 years of experience in the tyre industry, began his career with Michelin in 1978. In 1984, he joined Bridgestone as territory manager for Metro New York. Then, in 1999, Cicero was named president, OTR tyre sales, for Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire.

“Through Manny’s leadership it is our desire to become the premier provider of high quality specialty tyres,” commented Sanford Pensler, president of Pensler Capital Corp., owner of Denman Tire.

External alliances and internal efforts will help achieve this goal, Mr Pensler said.
